For sale is a 1988 United States proof $5 Olympic gold coin, with Certificate of Authenticity. This historic collectible was specially designed and created to commemorate America's participation in the 1988 Olympic games. T he coin is 90% pure gold (0.24 troy ounce) and 4.2% silver. Don't miss the gold run-up!! Inflation is around the corner and gold will go up to levels unimaginable years ago. Gold is the ONLY investment that has gone up nearly every year since about 2000. I'd hang on but my wife wants a new kitchen and that's forced me to sell all my coins. This is the last one to go. Do the math!! Gold is $1472.70 (4/14/11) and my price is just a few dollars above melt value. For those in the Chicago area, I'm willing to accept a cashier's check at the pharmacy where I work (Our Lady of the Resurrection Medical Center, 5645 W Addison, ).
