Hello, FREE SHIPPING...nice item for the steamship ocean liner , boat or cruise ship collector. This is approx 6" in size dessert or pie or salad plate. One plate. Suggestion: for display, t are plate holders to set it up on a shelf or table, to display it standing up, or you may get a plate holder to hang it on the wall, or of course , you may use it. Questions welcomed. ( cup listed seperately) SS United States Lines steamship company T were12 decks on this great ship. Docked in Philadelphia Pa since 1969. Fastest east and west bound accross the Atlantic ocean. Won blue riband record. Maiden voyage July 11 - 15 , 1952. Eight 5 point grey stars on each plate , with one 2 tone stripe around. Stars and stripes forever , like the American flag. Signed on the back. Mayer China Beaver Falls, Pa Made expressly for United States Lines. Also called " The Big U " built of mostly aluminum, making it faster, with the help of the United States Navy . Great piece of American History , vintage over 35 years old. Just a little note, I saw the ship on her maiden voyage , when I was 8 years of age. I was on the Cunard White Star Queen Mary and the Queen Elizabeth that year , and the race was on with the SS United states , who won. Back then was 5 days NY to Britain.
