This is a Universal camera from the silent era. It is nearly a hundred years old and cranks smoothly and easily. It has Americam M. P. M Works, Long Island City stamped into a door on the rear of the camera. Universals were very popular because they were so easy to set up and get ready to shoot action shots. They reload quickly. This camera is a three lens turret but unfortunately it has no lenses. It's easy to modify these cameras to take a modern Nikon or Canon lens. The flange depth is quite compatible with modern DSLR lenses. If you want to shoot hand cranked footage this would be an incredibly cheap way to go. It also makes a great display camera. There is only one film box but an adaption to a daylight reels would make this camera a shooter today. The camera has a dissolving shutter that works well. The shutter is a 180 degree shutter. Most hand cranking camera's shutters were quite a bit less than 180 degrees. While cranking one just pushes the lever to open or close and the shutter dissolves automatically. Unlike many Universals this camera has steel gears rather than cast pot metal gears in the cheaper models. The footage counter works too.No reserve on this one. If you bid $10 and it holds up to the end of the auction it's yours. Shipping is USPS Priority mail. I'm guessing it'll be about $40 to ship. If it's more I'll eat read more
