WOLFMAN "MIDNIGHT PROWL" JAYMAR FRAME 10" X 14" PUZZLE 1963 IN NEAR MINT CONDITION This is an exceptionally well preserved Wolfman "Midnight Prowl" frame puzzle 10" x 14" from 1963. As photos show it is very clean and bright having been in protective cover for 3 decades. Figures of Wolfman and Frankenstein in a cemetery setting with an open grave and rising skeleton terrifying potential victims. Released in 1963 were a set of incredibly lurid, yet spectacularly painted and colorful monster puzzles released by Jaymar. Four puzzles were produced with titles like “Vampire’s Nest” and “Midnight Prowl,” and featured Dracula, Frankenstein’s Monster, the Wolf Man and Mummy-along with numerous other creepy characters in shocking artwork that often featured two or more of the monsters in the same scene. Considered notorious nowadays, these gruesome puzzles are quite rare and hard to find complete with their boxes, and as such, are highly prized by collectors. All questions are welcome.
