Unsigned Gustav Stickley sewing rocker.....this is listed on "The Early Work of Gustav Stickley" page 79. It is No. 2635......It was made in 1902......It is in great condition......I was told that it may be missing a small piece of wood on both sides.....I will let you decide......the Stickley book is also included. The buyer to pay shipping....or you may come and pick it up. I apologize .....but I do not know much about Gustav Stickley.....however is some information a fellow ebayer shared with me.... Hi,In the book, Collected Works of Gustav Stickley, also by Turn of The Century, your chair with only one side stretcher is shown on page 23 and page 30, taken from the Craftsman Magazine November 1901 and June 1902 issues. So, the earliest version of this chair only had one side stretcher. Yours is not missing one! Also, take a bright flashlight and search the insides of the stretchers and posts below the seat for any remnant of the early boxed-mark red decal. You might find it is marked! Good Luck! Hi, The seat measures roughly 15" x 17"...... the rocker is from the floor to the top of the rocker.....is 30 1/2" the rocker part of the rocker is 24"...... from the seat to the top of the highest point is 18" ....I hope that helps...... the rocker is completely original.......based on the info......emailed to me by another ebayer......totally complete......very very early.......I have done nothing to this rocker......I have never even polished it .....or I have never messed with the original finish! is the picture of my rocker showing one wood on each side.....a kind ebayer sent it to me..... This rocker may be called a Thornden Gustav Stickley Rocker....early form....check out ebay item number 120186209971 for a version of my rocker with arms......a kind ebayer passed along this info. Do Not Miss Out this rocker is going going ....soon to be gone .....you can pick it up or I can mail it out.....I will do my best to mail it as cheap as possible!
