Untouched M-1822 French Light Cavalry Sabre. the sabre is uncleaned, and as found. the grip is made of leather, and is 98% complete. it is wraped with twisted brass wire, the capstan is untouched and completely original. the blade is fairly bright, with some light surface patina and spoting. the cutting edge is period sharpened about two-thirds down the blade. the false edge of the blade has French arsenal markings, close to the hilt, however these are very worn, and unreadable. the blade retains the original buff leather washer at the hilt. the steel scabbard is free from any dents or damage. it is uncleaned with a heavy, untouched patina. the overall condition is very good "out of the attic" Guaranteed 100% original. Payment must be received within 10 days from the close of auction. Items will be shipped on the first Thursday or Monday following the receipt of payment. All domestic packages are shipped via US Priority Mail. Overseas packages are shipped via US Airmail.
