This is one 3 x 5" flag you can fly 24/7. The Bennington 76 Flag, popularly flown during our Bi-Centenial. Flag is 3x5 feet, labeled Pioneer, made by the Valley Forge Flag Company in Spring City, PA prior to 1975 and no longer available. The Flag is printed on 100% cotton fabric with sewn, double stitched seams on stripes; thirteen seven pointed stars and 76 in a blue printed field, with metal grommets on binding for fastening to flag pole. The stripes begin and end with a white stripe as does the original. The original Flag, reputedly, was flown by the militia in Bennington, VT on August 16, 1777, when the Green Mountain Boys defended the stored mutions and defeated some 600 mercenaries at the Battle of Bennington. The Flag creates rich, vibrant , long lasting colors. Makes a distintive display flown from Colonial styled homes or simply by those who are respectful of Flag etiquette. Becauaw it is not an official Flag of the United States, one can fly this Flag unilluminated at night and in inclement wiather without violating Flag etiquette, as many do when they display their 50 Star Flag kit, day and night, in all kind of weather.
