You are bidding on an unused 1955 Brushed Chrome Zippo Lighter with a J 7 advertisement. This lighter has a two part advertisement for “J 7” “Look for the green rod”. The lighter is mint in the box and the box itself shows no wear. The lighter has a great design.

The markings on the bottom have four (4) dots on both sides of the script “ZIPPO”, a Patent number of 2517191 and Pat. Pend. Written below it in smaller letters. The hinge is original and is very tight.

The insert has the markings consistent with those manufactured between 1953 and 1957, and the straight cam spring is strong as the day it was made.

The lighter does come with the original, darker candy striped red and white box made between 1953 and 1957. The box itself is in mint condition with great color (i.e. absolutely no fading from wear of the sun).

This lighter set is a great addition to any Zippo collection.
