Up for auction are 9 postcards featuring sights in the Azores / Acores islands, early 1900s-1910s. All 9 cards are postally unused, 2 with undivided address sides. 3 of the cards have 2 views each. Cards show a horse wagon, a woman in a native costume, boats along the Ponta Delgada earth wall, the Cathedral and Misericordia street, pineapple hot house, and the entrance to the Garden of Marquez de Praia. The cards with two views show a woman in native costume with water jug on her head and a man with his donkey; people at the Garden Antonio Borges and San Francisco Square at Ponta Delgada; and the Garden of Jacome Correa and the Old College Church at Ponta Delgada. In overall good/very good condition - a few of the edges have minor wear. Buyer pays $2.50 shipping and handling in the US, $3.75 elsewhere.
