This uncommon and quite spectacular flow blue punch cup is fairly early 19th c Staffordshire although we do not know the maker. It is signed only with "4" and is in a "willow" and pagoda oriental pattern. Totally different feel than a cup from a cup and saucer set or even a handless cup and saucer set, this cup never had a saucer. It stands alone and has a statuesque sillouette. Paneled and footed cup has a delicate applied handle and measures 3" high and almost 1 3/4" across the flat (slightly concave) base. Condition is very good with a few pinpoint bumps from production and a couple tiny tiny flea bites on the base edge. Tiny bit of wear on the top of the handle. Rim is very smooth and glaze is wonderful. This punch cup is a rare gem and we wish we had more details about it. Presents beautifully. 1 lb. shipping.
