Description: Present is one of a rare group of Caucasian rugs attributed to Lori Pambak. This splendid rug is one of example which I have never seen before at any books. This unpublished rug was made around 1880 or perhaps earlier in southwest of Caucasian mountains. Unusual design, soft color combinations make this brilliant collector piece so powerful.Very unusual two octagonal and unique medallions containing geometrical motifs at very soft pale chocolate main color are complete this collector treasure. I doubt that you saw or will find such as this medallions at Lori pambak rugs. Many stars, flowers and arrow figures appear on the field. Very interesting light chocolate field color, very old and nice green, red, blue at two different shapes, white, yellow, and dark brown complete this rug and make it so attractive and beautiful. Of course all colors are natural and 100% vegetal dyes. This rug has a huge and significant size which is: 6'-9"x4'-1". (235cmx131cm) Condition of this rug is good for its age, full even pile all over with both ends and selvages are complete, ends are not original but done by good work which is really hard to recognize from the front. It was made with wool on wool foundation with some very small repiling area. The wool of this rug is absolutely soft, and handles of that is durable.
