This is a very unusual pair of antique scissors from J.A. Henckels. While made by Henckels in Solingen, Germany, the scissors were imported by Graef & Schmidt, Henckels U.S. agent in New York. The scissors feature a very unique design and I really don't know what they were for, but it's obviously a specialty design. They may have been for flower stem trimming or bud pruning?? Though it didn't show well in the photos, the thick leaves on the handle have engraved vines and stems running from them. Scissors have seen only light use and are in excellent condition with no damage and light wear.
