This is a rare Andy Warhol wooden painted yo-yo. It is painted silver and has a large facsimile signature printed on one side and says - 1989 The Andy Warhol Foundation For The Visual Arts. The other side of the yo yo has a large dollar sign printed on it. I can't find another like it online. So I don't know how many were made. But it must have been a small number. They may have been some sort of premium or maybe were given to supporters of the foundation? It's certainly an unusual and unique item for any Warhol collector. I did find a Warhol yo-yo reference online. The reference said that when asked over the phone what he was doing, Andy would sometimes reply that he was just sitting playing with his yo-yo. The yo-yo is made of wood and is larger and flatter than the normal yo-yo shape. It's about 3.5 inches across and over an inch thick. The string is what looks like a shoe string, as it has the tab on the end that a shoe string has. There are couple of small scuffs and minor wear to the surface. But it's in very good used - vintage condition.Offered at a great buy it now price with free first class mailing which will include a delivery confirmation tracking number. Thanks for looking.
