Very Unusual Antique 19 th Century Anglo Indian Sadeli / Bone Writing Slope This a very good quality box – in need of a little TLCPlease see the photos to assess condition; there are some extensive losses to the inlay in places. The hinged top opens to reveal a fitted interior with 3 removable covers and the wooden pen tray cover. The slope itself folds forward to reveal a blue fabric lined scribe which I believe to be original – see photos. The top part of this can be pulled forward (tab missing) and reveals a storage area beneath. There is some lifting to the main bone panels in places and a couple of pieces have become detached, these are present and need reattaching. – see photosThere is 1 screw missing from the right hinge. A very heavy box, so please ask in advance for a postage quote if you wish to bid from outside the UK - It weighs 4.25kg before packing!!Height – 7 Inches approx. Width – 15 Inches approx.
