Up for auction is a wonderful old mini horse-shoe that has the traditional horse-shoe shape on one side and on the opposite side is in the form of a human leg wearing a boot. It measures about 3 1/2" long and 3" wide and is in good condition but as you can see in the photos has some discoloration to the metal. I have not tried to clean this piece and felt that was best left to the new owner. I know this is a primitive piece and I believe it is made of cast iron but I am at a loss as to what else to say about this most unusual item. This strange piece has the usual horse-shoe nail holes, and even has a nail in one of the holes, so it looks like it was used at one time as a shoe for a horse. I am curious to know if the horse / pony wore the shoe as it is now or was it remade into it's current shape afterwards. In any case, this is a great cross collectible for horse or shoe collectible enthusiasts or just an interesting lucky horse shoe for your home.
