This listing is for a beautiful and very unusual Chinese porcelain punch bowl dating to the 19th century. The bowl is finely painted around the outside with four roundels each containing a single character and surrounded by a ring of ruyi. It is done on a beautiful ground executed with blue enamel in a diapered pattern. The interior is paitned with a nice design of fish painted in two colors and accented with gilt swimming amongst aquatic plants. The underside of the bowl is finished with a lightly applied turquoise glaze and is has a four character mark in the center. The bowl measures 12.9 inches (32.75cm) across at its widest point and displays wonderfully. There is a matching chip on the inside and outside
