ANTIQUE PRIMITIVE WOOD BOWL Old hand carved Wooden Bowl with handle. Very heavy aged patina, not a finish! This has been around a while and most likely a Frontier Cowboy Pioneer or Native American Indian cooking pot. Thumb grip or ladle rest carved in handle. Bottom is oddly curved, not flat, made for rocking of some sort. Primitively cut from a round with the top front of bowl to handle being the center of the tree, could be why the bottom is curved. Looks like an oak grain showing through on the bottom but not sure. Approximately 9 1/4" across, 12 3/4" across with handle & 3 1/2" deep. Extremely nice! I did not try to clean. T is a slight hairline in the bottom, but doesn't go thru the wood, wood is thick and weighs almost 1 1/2 lbs it is solid. GREAT PRIMITIVE AMERICANA COUNTRY FARM COLLECTIBLE!
