Thank you for visiting and good luck !!!!This listing is for an exceptional and rare pair of Chinese enameled silver lanterns dating to the mid 19th century. The lanterns of unusual and elegant form each stand on four stepped legs meeting at a cylindrical pedestal and ending at a lobed globe at the top. The entire exteriors are wonderful enameled in various colors and design. Quality of the work is excellentl. As can be seen in the photos there is some damage to the legs as well as some losses to the enameling around the top rim. They still display wonderfully and is an extremely difficult form to find in Chinese silver.
