For auction, An Unusual and Rare 18th-19thc 12 Diamond Citron Scent Bottle. It features a nice yellow green ( citron ) color with very strong ameythst / puce striations swirling about. Pattern-molded in a 12 diamond mold and expanded to form. Tooled lip and pontil scar. A very minute lip flake/roughness otherwise perfect. In the Steigel glass tradition this could be his or Midwest US or England. T was another like this one that sold thru Arman's Auction of " The Paul Ballentine Collection" of midwest/Ohio freeblown and pattern-molded bottles. The Ballentine example was citron colored and swirl ribbed. This has the 12 diamond pattern associated with Steigel and midwest America. I date this roughly from 1770 to 1830. Measures 3 3/8" tall and 2 1/2" wide. No Reserve beyond the opening bid. US Only, Personal checks and money orders are accepted, sorry No Paypal. Priority Mail w/ Ins. included will be 7.00 Thanks for looking!
