Very unique cut glass cruet. In the old catalogs these were called oils. The shape is most interesting. It is almost angled. The spout is formed in an oval shape. The stopper is a typical faceted type.
I am not 100% certain of the origin on these. I have never seen the shape pictured in any catalog or book.I did once see a pair very similar to this with silver collars that were English hallmarked. The cruet is 4 1/4 inches tall and 3 1/2 inches spout to handle. It is in excellent condition. The handle is also properly anealled with no problems. American Brilliant period (1876-1916). I am a member of the American Cut Glass Association and follow their ethics guidelines as a dealer.
