VERY UNUSUAL DOUBLE LIDDED 2 HALLMARKED SILVER VESTA WITH CHERUBS Here we have a very unusual hallmarked silver double lidded vesta in a curved shape and embossed with cherubs on a see-saw each side. There is a striker underneath each lid and the hallmark is along the edge at the top, - 'S B L' then a Lion, then an 'S' then an 'F' and then a small letter which is hard to decipher! On the top lid one side is another hallmark - 'F' a lion and an 'S' and what looks like the letter 'E'or 'F'. I have taken some close up pics of each hallmark for you to see. The top lids are very thin silver and don't quite meet all the way round due to the age of the piece, can't notice but I am trying to describe accurately! Measures 2 inches across by just over 1.50 inches by 1 inch deep. Another item I am selling for my friend whose Father collected interesting vintage items but never displayed them.
