Unusual Garden Snail Motif Art Pottery Vase You are bidding on this art deco era vase depicting a garden snail shell and leaves. It is green and has a crackle pattern in the clay. It's very high relief with the snails popping out of the piece. It is approx. 6" tall, made circa 1920's - 30's. Some of the glaze is gone in the raised areas. See the photos, the dark spots around the shell openings are w glaze is gone. T is also a tiny nick at the top ring. This is a very unusual piece. It doesn't fit into the categories like early roseville, or Mc Coy, because the relief design is so well done. Marked on the bottom with a circle and the letters LDBC within a cross. This is a really nice design, the color a rich green. Due to downsizing am selling many random treasures, see the other listings this week. If you like European or American Art Pottery, you'll love this one. It goes well with an art deco shade listed this week. Sold at no reserve. Thanks for looking and good luck to you.
