OUTSTANDING BLACK FOREST WAX CARVING / MOLDING
We are in the process of thinning out my Black Forest collection. I have acquired most of my collection from many trips to southern Germany and Austria. Please see my other listings for more quality Black Forest items. This listing features a beautifully done wax hunt scene. I purchased this in the outskirts of Vienna, Austria. Not sure if this is cast or carved, or both. The detail is remarkable. I have not seen one like this before. The plaque depicts a group of hunters, armed with musket, knives, and spear. This plaque measures nine inches tall by seven inches wide. The condition is excellent, showing no chips, cracks or repairs. This is an unusual item, and the only one in my collection We are listing this item with a .99 cents opening bid, with no reserve. High bidder gets it.
