A very unusual 800 silver caddy spoon. It is hallmarked pseudo marks showing that it was made in an area of Germany called Hanau most likely by Friederich Reusswig. He was recorded as working from 1903 until 1926, I would date this piece to c1905-1910. It has been beautifully designed being decorated with a windmill terminal, dolphin handle, and most unusually a picture bowl depicting a man and his donkey - you do see these but seldom find them depicting donkeys. It is in perfect condition being free from dings splits and repairs. It measures a touch over 4 inches (10.5cms) long and weighs 22 grams. A very unusual and interesting piece.
