This is a ready to run model of an HO scale 40' steel flat car with a tarp covered magnetically attached Tank load lettered for the US Navy in the grey paint scheme. This model was made by Mantua Trains in their line of HO trains in the 1950's, and this car is long out of production. Car number is 311, and build date is 11-44. Car is in excellent condition with no broken steps, and has been upgraded with screw mounted Kadee "Whisker" shank couplers, and it has cast metal trucks. The deck of the car has been painted with rail tie brown, and the trucks have been weathered with rust. Photo's show both sides of the car, the car deck, and the bottom of the load showing the powerful magnets that attach it to the car. Car is not in the original box, but will be boxed well to ship.
