Nine inches long. A g reat tube i am selling as display only. No returns. I have not tested but one man did and said it did not produce. I do not know how it was tested and can not do so myself. One ebayer suggested 30,000 volts were needed. Up to you. it is original school piece from europe and maybe form the 20's its the real deal. i see nothing wrong with the seals or contact points, but that doesn't prove it is working. I do notice an odd spot on the glass..hardd to see and can't feel it but it looks like a line...ie a crack..but can not catch it with my fingernail..maybe its so thin but lets gas out or maybe a blemish..serious i do not know...more I play with it more likely thats the problem. Its great looking piece. will double box
