Up for auction is this vintage 13 star, American flag in nice condition for its age.Flag is 6' x 8' 4" and has some wear . I have taken many close-up pictures below for your viewing. Stars are each 5". Blue background is 37" x 32". 7 red stripes and 6 white stripes, each that are 5-1/2" apart each. History: This flag was owned by Nathaniel Lincoln Dunn, nicknamed "Abe and also Prior" who was with C company 100th Inf, out of Du Page Il. Click Dunn Nathan received this flag from his great grandparents who lived in Kankakee Il. Many 13 star flags w used during the Civil War (1861-65), as a patriotic remembrance to our colonial struggle for freedom. Included in this auction are 2 portraits. One of Nathan Dunn and that of his mother. This flag was taken to the Antiques Road Show, Hawthorn Hotel in Champaign Il for authenticity in 2002. PLEASE NOTE: MANY HI-RES PICTURES BELOW.
