US Model 1860 Staff & Field Officers Sword and Scabbard This is an old US sword made by the Cincinnati Regalia Co in Ohio. Blade length: 30inches ; Blade width: 5/8th inch ; The blade has some mild pitting in a few isolated spots. The etchings on the blade are clear and crisp. It has the standard US Eagle, the shield/Flags/Pike/Cannon motifs. On the ricasso t is a four legged animal stamped into the metal The hilt is nice and tight and in good order, with the folding guard operating smoothly. The grip is made of light coloured fishskin and is intact, but the braided wire wrap is missing. This is a very nice sword with nice clear etchings and would be a fine addition to any collection. NOTES FOR BUYERS 1. I stand by my swords and I am more than willing to refund the full sale price on any item, minus shipping costs (i.e. buyer to pay full shipping cost one way only. Refunds will only be issued on items that have been grossly misrepresented. In the very unlikely event that something is broken/lost in the post, I shall do everything in my power to help with a claim, provided that the item is covered by insurance. However, if you have not requested the appropriate insurance for the item then I will not take responsibility for its loss. 2. By purchasing this item from me the buyer warrants that he/she is in compliance with his/her local and state laws and is legally able to purchase these items. I may not be held responsible for any non-compliance with these laws. 3. T is a scam going around ebay w people fraudulently notifying runner-up bidders on auctions with a bogus 2nd chance offer to purchase the items being auctioned. I am no longer sending out second chance offers. If you are a bidder on my auction that has ended and you are contacted by anyone with an offer to sell you this sword or some other sword DO NOT REPLY TO THE EMAIL! Notify ebay (and your local Police) immediately about the BOGUS OFFER!
