The history on this US Army Chaplain Communion Set from World War II. The set belong to my grandfather who was an Army Chaplain in World War II from 1942-1945. He was a little older than most when he served in the war. He already was a minister in a small town church and had obtained his PHD. He left with a wife and 2 babies at home. He carried this case through out his tour and gave communion to many soldiers of all faiths. It is my understanding that he was in France, Germany and England during his tour. This set has been in a closet on a shelf. T is so much history that this set has and it is going unappreciated in my closet. I am hoping that a collector or historian purchases this set since so many soldiers received their communion from it and it needs to be appreciated. Description: The communion set is in a large leather suitcase with US by the leather handle. The case opens up to have a table w a velvet and gold trimmed cloth goes over it. The same type of cloth goes over the top of the case.
