You are bidding on a US Army M-1 Steel Pot Helmet Shell & Liner The helmet was recently obtained from an estate sale, and was apart of a private military collection, exact age is unknown.We are not sure if the helmet and liner are reproductions are not, shows to be unused or worn. Please review the details for your assurance and judgement about the items.HELMET Angled chin strap latches maybe 1973 through 1988 era?, Iâe(tm)m not sure.I believe this is a standard issue US Military M-1 "Steel Pot" Helmet Shell style. The helmet has no ID markings, has OD green web chin cup strap with a snap on the end. The helmet is OD green, and has the cork texture, and has the band rear seam, as the Nov. 1944 styles. The helmet is standard OD green paint, seems correct for the era, the helmet weighs approx. 2 lbs 9 ozs. Has the swivel square bale with angle chinstrap latches, I believe the angled latch was used from 1973 through 1988, but not 100% for sure. Helmet Liner, "Reproduction?" The liner is unusual, as I canâe(tm)t find any resources about the appearance. The liner is injection plastic molding type of real dark color OD green hard plastic (notice the difference between the liner color and helmet color.
