Near mint condition, US WWII Army officer's "chocolate" 4 pocket gaberdine wool jacket, size 40-41S?. No rips, holes, tears, moth holes, collar, hem or cuff fraying. Tailor's tag only (Springfield ?), no size or date tag. A very minor snag on the top right pocket. Insignia is complete & appears to all be correct, WWII era brass construction. The major's insignia are matching, hollow pinbacks, the Sanitary lapel insignia has the pre-WWII type clutches and the "US" lapel pins have the smooth surface clutches. The right lapel US is slightly tarnished, but might polish out. The rest of the brass insignias all appear to be near mint. The ribbon bars are wider than usual and have pre-WWII type clutch-backs as well. The tropical worsted officer's shirt is a size 15 x 32 and has a matching 7th Service Command patch. The shirt has a couple of small moth holes on the right sleeve, 1/8" and smaller variety, a small moth nip along the top edge of the right chest pocket and a couple of minor stains. The shirt is still very presentable overall, just not quite as nice as the jacket. The tie is near perfect overall except for a hole 1/4" hole near the bottom of the back/ rear (unseen part) of the tie. Actual measurements as follows: Chest (armpit to armpit) 22.5" X 2 = 45"; Waist = about 38"; Shoulder seam to shoulder seam = 19"; Shoulder to cuff = 22". I believe this to close to a 41 Short sized jacket since it is slightly tighter than a 42S jacket I have in my collection. FREE SHIPPING, INSURANCE & DELIVERY CONFIRMATION IF THE BID EXCEEDS $70 or $75 BUY IT NOW AND IS PAID VIA PAYPAL !!!!
