US M 1906 Cavalry Sword Saber Ames like 1860 w/Scbd

Offering is for a US model 1906 cavalry sword. This sword has the same dimensions as the model 1860 light cavalry of the Civil War. The guard for this was iron instead of brass. The sword is 39 1/4" w/a 33 1/2" blade. Blade is short about 1" and was reshaped at some point. Decent job done.Blade has several edge nicks, much of the bright finish is still t, no pitting. Ricasso marked "A.S.CO.1906" w/ordnance mark and "J-C" on the opposite side. The iron hilt is in excellent shape w/most of the original finish. Some numbers stamped into the guard, and pommel. Grip has the original leather and wire intact and in very good shape. Sword comes in the original scabbard which will also fit any model 1860 cavalry sword. It has a Japanned black finish which is in very good shape.. One very minor dent.Thanks for looking,shipping will be 21.00 in the US.kw:
