is a very nice brass powder flask. It measures 9âe long and 4âe at it widest. It is a reproduction of one made by Ames about 1846 and called the âeoePeace Flaskâe. The only marking on the powder release is a capital P. The top symbol is an American eagle facing right, with a shield and clutching an olive branch. The center motif is a ring of 26 stars for the number of states in the union in 1837. Inside this is a sunburst with 13 points that represent the original 13 states; inside this are two clasped hands. They symbolize the Unity and Brotherhood of the States. On the bottom of the flask is a shield marked US and behind that are crossed flags, weapons, a helmet. The decoration appears on both sides. Condition and finish are very good, only a small dent to the left of the bottom motif on one side. Check our feedback for quality, super packing and service. Feel free to email us with any questions.
