This is a rare Remington bayonet and leather scabbard. Both are in excellent condition. The bayonet was manufactured in and stamped 1918 by Remington to fit P14 rifles, the trench shotguns, and the Model 1917 rifles. They were issued to both US and British troops during WWI ,and used into WWII.The markings are clear as you can see in the pictures. It has a very clear bomb on it. You can even see the lines between the flames on the bomb.If you like clear markings and stamps this bayonet has it all. The finish is 95% or better. The blade is almost 17 inches long , and the total length is 21 3/4 inches. It has never been sharpened. T is no rust on this bayonet, and t are no scratches, dings, or pits. I had to melt the cosmoline of of it so you could see it well. The wood grips are both tight with no movement or slop. The locking mechanism still works great.I put it on my 1917 rifle and it fit perfectly. The scabbard is also in great shape with no loose stitching, and no cracks in the leather. Check out the other bayonets I am selling. It is time to start selling off some of the stuff I have picked up over the years. Please ask any questions you may have, and I will try to answer them. Overseas buyers must pay with PayPal, and calculate shipping. Thanks for looking
