US NAVY ARAMID DECK SMALL MEDIUM JACKET This is one of the Navys older type of flight deck jackets, sometimes referred to as a "BOAT JACKET" This type of Jacket is has been phased out and is hard to acquire. This was used on flight decks and other type of Navy craft. It is labeled "Jacket, Shipboard Flame Resistant." The outershell is made of ARAMID. This is a flame resistant material. This is the same material that US Military flight suits are made out of. On some of the jacket they will have words or letters on the back. This coat has nothing on the back.
It is designed to be worn on US Navy ships and it protects the wearer from the cold as well as from flames. It has a super nice fake fur type of lining on the inside. Also has a heavy duty zipper with reinforced Velcro flaps on the flap that covers the zipper to give the wearer extra protection from the cold. It also has inner cuffs. This helps cut off the flow to the inside to keep the warmth in. Has two front slash pockets in the front to put your hands in, with zippers in the pockets to secure your objects. Also has a nice waste cuff at the bottom that gives a snug fit that cut off any up drafts. If you work in an area w they might be fires. Forrest Fires, First Aid, Heavy Machinery, Ships, Electrical places, this is a great jacket to wear. It is built to military specification and is truly a great jacket to have. This one is a SMALL.
