This is an Artist's Proof edition, signed and numbered lithograph print called "Shock Waves". The painting was done by aviation artist John R. Doughty, Jr.This is Artist's Proof print number 48/75.
The print is signed by 15 Pilots and Radar Intercept Officers (RIOs) from Fighter Squadron 2, VF-2, during Operation Desert Storm. (see photos below). The print is also signed by Vietnam Ace and F-14 pilot Randy "Duke" Cunningham. The painting depicts two F-14 Tomcats from VF-2 Bountyhunters breaking the sound barrier as they fly past the aircraft carrier USS Ranger (CV-61). The print measures 30" x 25". All signatures were done in pencil. It comes with a certificate of authenticity. The lithograph print is mailed in a sturdy mailing tube by US Priority Mail, and includes insurance and Delivery Confirmation tracking.
