Nice all original U.S. WWII fighting knife theater made from downed aircraft. Knife measures approximately 12 1/4 inches from blade tip to base of handle. Blade has been sharpened for use and has single blood groove on each side. Blade is unmarked but may have been made from cut down or captured bayonet. Knife has heavy curved steel cross-guard. Handle is nicely made from clear plexiglas from shot down aircraft. Handle has aluminum and brass spacer with red, green and yellow plastic or bakelite design inside plexiglas. Handle end cap is very heavy brass. Please see auction photos. Knife blade and crossguard show normal wear and use for age with some areas of light pitting, nicks and rust - should clean up nicely!
