US WW2 Vintage Colt 1911A1 Pistol Belt Rig. This is a mix of unused and used parts on this vintage WW2 officer pistol rig from mid WW2, it is not uncommon to see mixes of WW2 and WW1 material in early rigs but this one is all WW2 vintage. Great for reenacting or for display. The belt is a kaki early pattern Model 1936 unused unissued condition, Marked US on the front and R.M.C.O., 1943 marking on back. T are no missing brass rivets, no tears, no fraying, no stains, white metal fasteners painted black, brass eyelets, 2 parkerized steel contoured stays. The light brown russet holster fits the .45 Caliber Auto 1911 or 1911A1. It is a WW2 type, marked "US" on the front flap, "BOYT, 1944" on the back, brass type hanger, solid stitching and fasteners, and the leather is brown in unused condition, wedge good, toe spacer t, a few marks on front and back from little use and storage, a little stiff, no cracks, a stain on the back (see picture) a little green around the brass parts (but don't they all), good edition to any collection. Measures 10 inches. The .45 magazine pockets markings are "Boyle, 1942", in used condition. Also included is the first aid kit holder, in used condition, marked "E.A. BROWN, MFG. CO., 1944", no tears, no fraying, no holes, snap works fine, steel hanger type. The First aid kit "Carlisle" is made by the "Handy Pad Supply CO., Worcester, Mass" Original green painted copper / brass sealed can and is new unissued (it came out of a unopened box dated 1943!). The holster will fit manufactures pistols of the same era and earlier like Springfield Armory, the Colt Navy contract, Remington UMC, A.J. Savage, North American Arms Co. Limited, Remington Rand, Union Switch & Signal Co, Ithaca, Singer, National Match rebuilds, Rock Island Arsenal rebuilds Augusta Arsenal rebuilds, Springfield Armory rebuilds, and all models designated as 1911, 1911A1, M-1911, M-1911A1, M1911, M1911A, and Government Model. Used in World War 1 (WW1) and through World War 2 (WW2) by the United States Navy (USN), Army (USAA), Marines (USMC), Air Corp (USAAC), Tank, air squadron, sea, land and Airborne units. In every theater, division and squad in WW2. I will be selling a few others 1911 items so please check out my other auctions.
