Hello and welcome to another exciting auction brought to you exclusively by Rob&Kersts internet sales. You are looking at the new upgraded version of the Infrared (IR) US Flag with Velcro backing Militaryissued Infrared (IR) US Flags (upgraded). Also known as the IFF (Integrated friend or Foe identification) IR US Flags. Unlike the old version that gives a washed-out pattern, this upgraded version give a clear reflection of a US flag pattern. It is tested and approved by Army Natick Lab, and has been issued to US special forces and other troops. They are made of mil-spec Infrared (IR) reflective material (honeycomb texture). Each flag is backed with Velcro hook and is designed to mate with any Velcro loop surface of your helmet, BDUs, and other equipments. It can also be sewn onto any cloth or nylon fabrics. IR flags are intended for the covert combat identification of US troops, vehicles and equipment. It is used to prevent fratricide. To the naked eye, it looks like a normal US Flag patch. However, when illuminated with an infrared source, a bright US flag reflection can be clearly seen at a narrow angle through night vision goggles at extremely long ranges. (Military Sale only)
