Their grading also considers other factors than just centering, such as color, impression, eye appeal, the back, perfs, etc., but it will give you a better idea of the range of retail values in the US Classics arena:

After 5 years of intensive effort to scrape some of the worst slime off the eBay US Stamps category, with some small measure of success, I find I no longer enjoy the hobby. Therefore, I am liquidating my formerly beloved US collection, starting with my duplicates. Over the next several months, I will be offering many hundreds of singles, covering all areas of US stamps, but primarily classics, including extensive coverage of regular issues with much BOB as well.
