***Offered is the Like New in Original Box model of a C&NW - Chicago & North Western Railroad TrucTrain Piggyback Flat Car with C&NW Trailer ! Flat cars were great for hauling almost any kind of load - that could with stand the elements - bringing every merchandise imaginable to the markets across the country. Lumber, farm machinery, postal trucks, Turbos, generators, bulldozers - we saw just about everything on Flat Cars. Even airplane parts and missiles ! ( anyone recall the MX Missile Project ?) But when the trailer on flat car idea started ( way back on the New Haven, White Pass & Yukon Route among other pioneering railroads) Finally merchandise could be loaded at a customers dock ANYWHERE, even if they did not have a rail siding, and then be rolled across the country efficiently on the rails, and then unloaded and delivered to a the receivers door !
