USAF CWU-36/P Nomex Flying Flight Jacket Patches 38 40 Pacific Air Forces 37th AS Blue Tail Flies Patches & Tags 1985. T are 4 hook velcro back patches attached to it as follows : 1 ) 37th AS Blue Tail Flies 2 ) Pacific Air Forces 3 ) Senior Pilot cloth name tag 4 ) United States USA flag. The 37th is based with the 86th AW at Ramstein AB Germany. The 37th AS currently fly 19 C-130Es, equipped with Adverse Weather Aerial Delivery Systems (AWADS.) I know nothing of the history of this but it's likely that it saw hazardous duty. The label information reads as follows : JACKET, FLYER'S MEN'S SUMMER FIRE RESISTANT TYPE CWU-36/P MIL-J-83382C DLA100-85-C-0470 100% AROMATIC POLYAMIDE MEDIUM 38-40 8415-0 AVIREX LTD. Aromatic Polyamide is Nomex right? You guys and gals know what all that mil spec stuff means right? This comes complete as shown in actual photos of item. The jacket has 4 loop pile velcro sewn to it and comes with the patches described above. The Scovill zippers are original and working with orig blackened zipper tracks, pullers and complete with tassel. T are a few minor pulls, pillings and marks as seen in the detailed photos.
