USAF United States Air Force Class-style STERLING Ring STERLING SILVER AIR FORCERING Up for bid is an older sterling USAF United States Air Force class ring.According to the previous owner, it is an older ring (from the founding of the USAF in the late, late 1940s to the early 1950s).The ring is in good condition with the exception of the stone. The smooth cabochon stone with faceted back- a blue sapphire (I think) has a large amount of wear...looks like it was tapped on the bar too many times. I believe it could be ground/polished to restore it.The ring has a terrific warm patina, and is in uncleaned, as-found condition...approximately a size 9.
