USAF WWII doubled-breasted overcoat. R are and authentic never issued NEW OLD STOCK!!! This is a wearable time capsule. F eels like a high fashion D&G or Cavalli designer due to the slim fit, drape and fantastic giant collar that can pop-up for attention. Inside label says:
"OVERCOAT, MAN'S, WOOL, VELOUR, 28oz, BLUE-85 SPEC, MIL-0-33118 (USAF) FED, STK, NO, 8 ABATE CLOTHING INC. CONT. NO. QM (CTM) 10366-C-61 SIZE 39L 100% WOOL I am 6'3" tall 195lbs with 36" sleeves. I typically wear a 42 long suit and the coat feels just a little snug to wear a heavy sweater or sport coat underneath. Compare photos to your own body type. Measurements are: Top of collar to bottom hem 46" Top of shoulder sleeve to cuff 26" 19" shoulder seam to seam across back 43" around entire coat just under arms. Made of thick course wool, light blue in color with 6 button front, loop and button to each shoulder, split tail. Heavy acetate-type lining (unsure of material). Condition is a perfect #10. Modest reserve in the true spirit of eBay - good luck bidding and happy holidays to you and your family. Oh and hey I have a few other really interesting coats about the same size... On some emotional level a "boy" who thinks peace can be maintained without strength will look and feel childish in this item, but a mature man (who has done real courage in his life) wearing this coat will look and feel honest even if he's never served in the armed forces.
