Up for sale is my used but meticulously cared for and restored/rebuilt original Digimax 96k mic preamp. Unit is about 8 years old, was meticulously rebuilt and recalibrated about one year ago. kept in the rack as part of a mobile recording system that never went anywhere; now selling to free up space and make room. The unit was really never used; no more than once or twice at best. Kept clean in a sealed and locked Anvil rack or in its box for it's entire life. Those who know are aware that this is the Digimax that was built by hand in the states in very small batches and not made overseas. Not only the toughest and most robust/heavy/expensive of the DM line; it also sports a hand-built custom power supply that is housed in an all steel/aluminum chassis and is overkill and over-engineered. The unit has 2 active DI's, 8 high voltage solidstate mic preamps, 8 transparent dual-domain analog VCA limiters (given an entire fullsize circuit board on the tier above the preamp board), 8 balanced TRS analog outs, SPDIF or AES out, and ADAT lightpipe out at 44.1 or 48k sampling rate. Six circuit boards populate this 2-piece system; making it the most over-engineered and high power Digimax ever to grace the family of products.
