WOW! I am selling off another trove of great USGS publications. This great set has a pile of publications covering the mining, mineral collecting localities, fossils and geology of California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, and Alaska. Definitely see my other auctions if this kind of item appeals to you. T is something for everyone and I don't know if I'll ever have another set like these, they are getting so hard to come by these days.
See my "ME" page! This auction is for USGS Professional Paper 369, "Geology of San Nicolas Island, California." Published in 1963, t can't be many of these around! This 65-page report provides an in depth look at the geology of this remote island. This publication comes with ALL FIVE OF THE ORIGINAL GEOLOGIC MAPS, one of which is a HUGE FULL COLOR MAP of the entire island, measuring 56x38 inches! The geologic structure of the island is complex, and the giant map shows it very clearly. This is a really cool rare report on an interesting locale, and to find it complete with all its maps after over forty years in existence is truly remarkable. The condition is astoundingly good, with hardly a flaw to report. This is a great opportunity to own a rare publication in great condition.
