Spearhead Militaria Presents: US Marine Corps Vietnam Era M-1 Combat Helmet, Dated to 1969 Very Nice Field Condition Helmet Type : M-1 Combat Helmet; Infantry; United States / United States Marine Corps Era : Mid Vietnam War Circa (Probable year of issue) : 1969 Helmet & Chinstraps : Rear Seam M1966 Helmet Shell (Salty). Chinstraps are in excellent condition and are anchor marked. Camouflage Band : USMC "supply shortage" inner tube band (the Marines cut these from M151 inner tubes due to the lack of supplies reaching their locations.). The band is still quite supple although a bit dusty. Helmet Cover : Mitchell, Jungle Foliage; Reversible. DSA Coded 100-69-C-1921 This code dates to mid 1969. Cover is in nice shape with miloitary repair to its buckle area (see photo). These in country repairs were common to preserve the lifespan of a cover. Liner : M1964 nylon combat liner. marmac; Dated 19 March 1969. DSA 100-69-C-1774. US 42 & MII crown mold marks. This piece shows slight wear which is common for used liners. The A washers are complete and fully intact. Nape Strap : Undated (mid 1960s production) Notes : This is a nice mid war issue model of the USMC infantry helmet.
