o One cover appears to have no mothing possibly NOS and the second one has two tiny moth specs barely visible on the right side near the rear fold, this one also has two tiny holes near the front that appear to have been made from an insignia of some sort (US pin maybe?)

o Sweatbands are stamped with ½" letters "P-5539"

o White cloth sewn in labels with the following:

§ Cap, Garrison, Wool, OD, M-1950

§ Size 7

§ Mid City Uniform Cap Co.

§ 22 Jun 51 QM 17669

§ Spec. No. Mil. - C - 1912A

§ Stock No. 73 - C - 18205 - 45

§ Patt. Date 5 DECEMBER 1950

§ N.Y.QM. P.A.

The DI cover certainly looks the part and will make you shiver if you ever had the unfortunate experience to be on the receiving end of one. The two garrison caps are nice examples of Army uniform accessories from the so-called "Forgotten War".

All of these hats would be great to use for re enactors or historical displays (junk on the bunk). Sorry, I have no idea who the original owner was, other than Uncle Sam. :-)

The pictures were taken outside... the color of the campaign hat and garrison caps are best represented on the mannequin head vice flat on the table.
