Apparently, eBay will allow the sale of a bullet proof vest, as long as certain requirements are met. Last time, I had "advertised" it and "depicted" it with the removable groin protection. Apparently this is against policy per the International Traffic in Arm Regulations (ITAR) Part 121. So, I have done my best to be in compliance with the act and hopefully the item will sell before eBay finds another reason to prevent you from owning this item. Per eBay's policy, I have re-taken the pictures, and re-listed the item, and I will not "advertise" the groin protection. Furthermore, eBay requires that I state the following in my listing: The item is listed on the US eBay website (). The buyer, the seller, and the item are located in the US The seller specifically states the item will only be shipped domestically (within the US). And that the level of protection be clearly stated if it is marked or stamped on the item. Therefore, Per eBay policy, I must declare the following to be in compliance with their listing policies. This item is currently in the US, and will only be sold to a US buyer, and shipped to a confirmed paypal address within the continental US. Although there is not apparent marking distinguishing the "level" of this body armor, it states that in it's new and perfect condition, it is designed to provide protection from small arms of 9mm and below and the current civilian law enforcement version is advertised as IIIA level. This item is NOT currently stamped or marked in any area in plain view depicting that it is current US issue. This item is to be sold, and utilized as military memorabilia, and NOT to be intended for actual use as ballistic protection. There are no SAPI plates included in this item. Only front, back, side and two other soft inserts, in addition to the outer vest carrier that have no indication of level of ballistic protection, nor a "US" stamp on them. There, now that the disclaimers have been properly established, I believe I can move on with the listing in accordance with the policies and guidelines. This MTV was acquired from a former active duty Marine that has recently been discharged from the Marine Corps and was worn by him while serving. The vest in the pictures, is the exact vest that you are bidding on or buying. It does show some minor signs of wear and is advertised as "used". However, it is far from worn out. It has minimal signs of use and no significant visible stains, rips, tears, or otherwise cosmetic or functional defects. What you see is what you get. As previously stated, it comes with all soft inserts, but no hard SAPI inserts, and states that it was designed to stop small arms 9mm and below ballistics. It is rated in a 9 to 9.5 out of 10 condition. This is the identical vest that is being worn and issued to current U.S. Marines. The civilian Law Enforcement model sells from $1,855.00 to $2,041.00. I have taken high resolution close up images and accurately depicted and described the vest, so it will be sold "as is" with no returns.
