US Marines often have elaborately decorated tour jackets made up in the Far East to commemorate their service. This USMC Marine Velvet Far East Souvenir Tour Jacket is in excellent condition, and carries the Marine's nom de guerre -ANIMAL- embroidered on the back. It carries "Far East Tour" 83 85 and the places the leatherneck was stationed embroidered on the back and sleeves, with a large American flag on the right shoulder. It carries "U.S.M.C" and the famous US Marine Corps Eagle Globe & Anchor embroidered on the left shoulder, and a large dragon and tiger are embroidered on the right and left forearms respectively. The jacket is personalized with the serviceman's name embroidered on the front in Korean, along with pins from various ports of call. It is a Size Medium and is a fine example of a 1980s USMC Far East Velvet Tour Jacket.
